How hard is it to setup a Mail Services Account? What do I have to do?
We do most of the work for you. Once your account is set up, all you do is 1) create the new mailboxes you want (with our easy-to-use Domain/Mailbox Admin), 2) change the MX record (something your ISP or web hosting company does for you), and 3) set up your email software to retrieve your email. We provide detailed instructions on how to do each step. Then you get to enjoy great email services.

Will I loose email when moving over to AbleMailServices.com?
No. We can transfer your email to your Mail Services Account with NO disruption in your email service.

My ISP or web hosting company already provides gives me email why do I need this?

How do I learn to use my Mail Services?
We have online instructions for setting up and configuring your new Mail Services. There are also extensive online help resources that will help your Webmail users find answers to their questions. You will also receive a copy of our Mail Services User Manual that provides greater detail on various aspects of your email services.

How much can I put in one Mailbox?
Each mailbox is allowed up to 100 MB of storage. This allows you to send and receive large file attachments with ease. Before you reach the limit, we provide automatic messages to let you know you are getting close, so you can clear off any unnecessary mail.

Can I send SPAM?
No. We do not tolerate any form of Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE or SPAM) activities. For more info, click here.

Why do I need Real-time Virus Scanning?
The various desktop software solutions offered by the major suppliers, such as Norton Utilities, Dr. Solomon and McAfee are only effective against known viruses at the time of production. Since up to 600 new viruses or variants emerge every month, these products are quickly of date unless they are updated every few hours. We have over 100,000 viruses in our database. Our real-time virus scanning goes on working indefinitely - 24/7/365 - because we update our list every two hours.

How Many Users / Accounts can I have?
You can have as many mailboxes and aliases as you wish. You purchase them in increments of 10. As you need more, we change a setting and you can add more as you wish. We also have the ability to grow with you to even larger sizes. Once you reach a certain size, you will want to consider your own mail server, and we can help you with that also. We offer dedicated Mail Servers where we set up a Mail Server for your exclusive use. You can then put as many mailboxes and domains on it as you wish. And if your needs grow beyond that, we have even designed mail servers for 10's of thousands of users.

I need hundreds/ thousands of mailboxes. Is this service right for me?
For people who have large numbers of mailboxes, you should consider getting your own dedicated mail server.

Can I have more than one domain name?
Yes. We can create "alias domains" which allow you to receive email that is addressed to you by way of other domain names. Please let us know about additional domains at the time you place your order. This is one of the unique features of our service.

Is my email secure?
Yes. We have built many security features into our Mail Services to make sure that high-security is well established. The Mail Services allows for SSL encryption for the Domain/Mailbox Administrator as well as the mailbox users. This means that your transactions when creating the mailboxes and passwords are also protected. Then your users can select encryption for their email to keep the chain intact. We even use Qmail as our basic mail server software because it is so reliable and has a high reputation for no security holes. We further protect your email with state-of-the-art firewall technology and we monitor our mail servers continually for any signs of intrusion.

I have my own mail server. Why do I need this?
If you currently manage your own mail servers or are thinking about doing, so our dedicated mail servers can save you thousands by outsourcing. Your biggest costs for doing it yourself will come from: hardware, software, IT staff time for setup and maintenance, connectivity costs, and ongoing maintenance. We remove all those problems for you by giving you an outsourcing solution that frees you and your resources for more important things. Which Mail-Transfer-Agent (SMTP server) do you use?
Our mail servers use Qmail. Qmail is one of the top 5 used mail transfer agents on the Internet. It is faster and more reliable than any other MTA available. Examples of organizations that use Qmail to move some of the worlds largest email volume: USA.net's outgoing email, Address.com, Rediffmail.com, Colonize.com, Yahoo! mail, Network Solutions, Verio, MessageLabs (searching 20M emails/week for malware), listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu, Ohio State (biggest US University), onelist.com (which has merged with egroups, another big free mailing list service), Listbot, USWest.net (Western US ISP), RIPE, Matchlogic, Telenordia, gmx.de (German ISP), NetZero (free ISP), Critical Path (email outsourcing service w/ 15M mailboxes), PayPal/Confinity, Hypermart.net, Casema, Pair Networks, Topica, MyNet.com.tr, FSmail.net, and vuurwerk.nl.
